Angel of the North Framed Tile - Poppies is one of many beautiful North East paintings by Emily Ward, local artist. The Angel stands over the poppies in this painting, protecting the community of Gateshead from the top of the hill.
Emily has used red to highlight the poppies and the Angel of the North, emphasising the reflecting sun behind it. The vibrant sunrise also provides a sense of a new beginning and the start of a new great day.
 
Each Framed Tile is hand finished by North East Artist Emily Ward. So although your ceramic framed tile is actually a print, no two tiles are identical. Emily hand finishes the tiles by adding extra paint to the ceramic tile.
The framed tile appears as if it is floating inside the frame.
