Holy Island ceramic tile with easel was lovingly painted by North East artist Emily Ward. Holy Island, or Lindisfarne as it is also known, is truly a captivating place full of mystery, history and beauty.

Emily's painting captures the uniqueness of this coastal castle. It lies on a tidal island not far from Berwick on the Northumberland coast.

The hints of purple in the sky suggest that sunset is on the way over Holy Island providing tranquility over the quiet beaches.

This original painting has been brought alive on this hand finished ceramic tile. You can imagine the calm of being on Holy Island when it becomes inaccessible twice a day.
